The Health Complications Of Weight Gain Via Sugar

Sugar consumption is a major cause of chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes and of course obesity.

Added sugar can be found in the most unexpected products, and we must be aware of that.

This is why we must make it our aim to read the labels, not just roll the dice, okay?

As a rule of thumb, I want you to remember that added sugar like its name adds up!

If you rely on quick processed foods for meals and snacks/ want to know about the health complications of weight gain via sugar, then this is for you.

Obesity

I’m sure this does not come as a surprise to you that the rates of obesity are rising worldwide!

The added sugar intake is way too high also, especially from the rise of consumers buying sugary drinks is making it worse.

When I’m talking about sugary drinks I’m not just talking about fizzy drinks, it’s also sweet teas & juices…

You see these are loaded with fructose, if you don’t know what that is that’s a simple type of sugar.

When we consume fructose, this increases your hunger and desire for more, much more so than glucose.

When you eat excessive foods with fructose you may cause resistance to leptin, this is a hormone that is vital to your hunger gauge AKA when your body tells you it’s time to stop eating I’m full.

Sugary drinks for example will not stop your hunger, it will increase it, until the point where your body will not know when you are done eating…

Unless you puke, of course, and I don’t want you to get to that stage.

It’s because it’s liquid calories it’s so easy to put on weight, a lot of you here always ask if I just avoid or cut alcohol out then I’ll be ok.

So, this is why I’m making the point with sugary drinks, but also sugary junk food is bad too.

Type-2 diabetes goes hand in hand with sugary drinks, and your chances are increased by drinking…

It’s really sad when I hear that someone has type-2 as it’s preventable, plus you can work towards getting rid of type-2 if you clean up your act…

Which I think is great, unlike type-1 where it cannot, but then again you don’t always get that down to sugar, but that’s on some other ish.

Water

Water >>>>

I could just leave it as such, but this will be your best mate if you will let it be.

You cannot go wrong with water, of course make sure you’re drinking clean water and if it’s from the tap you have to filter your water.

This helps you lose weight, so if you increase your water intake and decrease your sugar intake of sugary drinks, you will lose weight and become more healthy.

The thing is you have to keep it up, don’t expect in a week or two to see any changes on the outside, you will in the inside but not the outside.

The Complications come in when we see it like this below… Sugar >>> Water

You don’t need me to tell you this but…….. STOP THE CAP!

If you’re looking to lose weight, and you are taking on added sugar in your drinks, and not drinking any water, or very little water PFTT!

You may as well be smashing your head against a brick wall, you’re wasting your damn time, we made up of water, so it makes sense that we need to drink water, to be and feel better no ?

THAT’S IT!

I really enjoyed sharing this with you guys.

Please do let me know though…
