Why You Must Take Full Accountability For Your Child’s Health

The inspo for this came from the incoming (At the time of making this) scrap on sugar tax on soft drinks within the UK, which I keep being asked for my thoughts on.

Whether it happens or not, I want to invite you to think about some things, from what I’m going to say.

If you got children great, if you don’t but plan to, I would still invite you to think about it, then I’ll throw some questions at you, which you can answer in the comments.

Could the governments do more to ensure our health is better ?

Should the government control what we eat and don’t eat ?

Can we trust the government to make the right choice for our own health ?

Liz even said that she does not want the UK to be living in a nanny state & we have far more important things to be doing like building roads rah, rah rah.

So with all I have said up top for you to answer, what does it really matter if I can buy a coke and get one free vs when I can just buy two anyway ?

If I buy one it’s still unhealthy, it’s still trash, are we ready to face the fact that coke or any other fizzy drink is making us sick?

How would you feel if all fizzy drinks were not sold anymore?

The very little that ban did in the UK, was just trying to put a plaster of a wound that needs stitches.

As a whole when it comes to this fizzy drinks, we are bleeding out, just like we are as a whole with junk food and many other topics.

They have really made the drinks less sugary and with less harmful ingredients to our bodies as time goes on, however, trash is still trash…

It’s still very unhealthy for us, like I said it’s like putting a plaster over a wound that needs stitches.

This also was not out of the goodness of their hearts either, they got caught, the public got wiser and then they had to act!

I’m talking about the food industry, one of their goals is profits, just like governments no ?

So we will all just eat what we want right?

Then, when the doctor tells you what he likes, you get mad & upset, but what were you expecting if you are eating and drinking in unhealthy ways ?

If I switched the substances from added sugar to crack, your feelings would change, but both are addictive, one kills you faster than the other, but so what if you still die early because of it!

Some of you are still waiting on the culture to change, in other words, to wait for your closets ones to make the change and others you don’t know, until you change, like sheep.

When I say sheep, you could be just in fear, or don’t trust yourself & if I do this, and I’m in the minority others will say things, even those who are close to me, AKA= Care what others think & say too much.

If you wait on that before you change, your body might be beyond repair, or it takes a long time for it to be healthy and thriving again, if at all!

The culture only changes when you do, it takes each of us, until the minority becomes the majority, no?

So regardless if you change or stay stuck, it will change, I’m only telling those that are eating and drinking unhealthy, to get to work now on cleaning up yourself, as when the tide turns you’re going to drown.

Hospitals are short-staffed (Pandemic years & all) To be honest even before then the numbers were falling, but not like this!

Doctors are telling you to your face, don’t see me, look after yourself, we are too busy rah rah rah, fobbing you off telling you just go to the chemist and buy some pills for mostly everything, not all but too much as an escape from solving the real cause which is on a case to case bases no ?

When more minds switch to the healthy living, which more are doing, but still it needs to be a lot more, you will see how you’re treating yourself with such disrespect by putting such trash into your insides, like a lot did in 2020.

A lot of you are starting to have free time, to think for yourself, see that the governments don’t give a damn about your health.

In some cases ,they are working with those that want to take you off the earth, so they can have fewer humans on the earth, if you know you know!

A lot of you were joining in with the many exercise videos that were going on in lockdown online, many stuck with that & many more went back to their old habits again, but both instances the rest did it, so you went along like a sheep.

Those that thought for themselves and looked at both sides, went to the side of health and stayed there, those that just went along because everyone is doing it, a like a trend vanished from the gym, or from their own home workouts, as you never had no reason bigger than the next man/ woman was doing it too & you never thought for yourself.

I find that many that I speak with, via work purposes or just in life, when those that don’t think for themselves fail, they like to blame others.

This is when they attack the government, who don’t get it twisted deserve every bit of it, as they are no saints, but had you chosen to stop following the Joneses, think for yourself and focus on why you should better your own health & trust yourself vs what sugar addicts & the government say for you to do, you would have a fair balance of both sides, then you live or die by your choice.

This is why I don’t agree with those that choose to live unhealthy life, however, I very much respect those that when the doctor tells them you are sick with w.e, they don’t start pointing fingers, and they ‘this is on me, I live and die by the sword’.

I don’t respect those that start crying, after abusing your body for years and years, scoffing at those that choose to better their health and derail them, then start having a fit & pointing the finger at everyone else other than the one who consumed all of that trash in the first place.

All of this is just you as an individual person, what about those of you that have kids/ want them?

Below is for some things for you to think about……

For a period of time, everything that you do your kids will pick up on.

They are relying on you no?

Does it make more sense that the more good habits you have, the more likely it is that it will rub off on your kids ?

How do you feel/ how would you feel if your kid weighed like 18 to 20 stone of lard & had 2 chronic diseases before he/she/they… Made it to high school ?

Well for example in the USA more the 40% of the kids do!

So, what I’m talking about here is very real, & that is nothing short of a disgrace, your habits in what you eat matters, they don’t buy their own meals for the week, months, years you do…

You see when it’s someone you love, we can see and be like do this and do that, but you have no place to do so, if you yourself are in bad shape, even if what you’re saying is right, be about what you preach to others.

Those that struggle to get respect from their kids, are on the most part hypocrites, whether you agree or disagree with me on how I’m living, or what I eat, at least I will be respected that I do what I’m preaching…

If you’re telling your kids to not eat candy, and you’re eating candy all day, your kids are going to have no respect for you. You cannot shout your way, strike fear & think that’s the way I’m going to get it, when your back is turned they plotting against your poor ruling, all because your bad habits are dying slow.

Until you get overthrown, in years to come you don’t see it coming, more fool you, as any kid would tell you on the most part they give respect, without needing to be promoted by no one, it’s auto as their father and mother get that just in life outside their four walls anyway, that’s what you get when your words and actions are in synch.

I want to hear from parents that have a solid relationships with their kids, and do what I just described, some of y’all need to feel this to your core!

The government do not have your kids’ health at the center of their minds, but you do no ?

Most of you don’t even trust your government, or trust them one bit, no ?

This is why you must be the one to take full accountability for your child’s health, instill healthy Habits, and be surrounded by healthy choices, everything you do and how you act affects those around you no ?

How you smile at a stranger can change their whole mood, good or bad no ?

What you say to another can lift them up or bring them down, no ?

Let alone your own child, that spends most of his waking day seeing, hearing and learning from you no ?

I get it if you don’t have a clue yourself on what to eat, how do I do this healthy and that healthy, you are not born knowing, but you can learn bit by bit, this is why I’m here, so many tips up in here, all for you to better your health with.

THAT’S IT!

I’m really looking forward to hearing from you Di1’s in the comments, let me know how you feel/ the questions I asked within the post.

This was very digestible, and I agree with you. The government could do a lot more of course, but we do need to look after ourselves.

We should be able to control what we eat and not be told, however some so called foods should not be even on the shelf.

I’m cutting down on soda for sure, but I’m getting used to my daily water intake of 8 glasses as you taught me to do, and the constant toilet breaks, is hard but I’m getting there.

Thank you for your help.

How can anyone argue with this logic ? I’m looking deep within myself and my family, I need to do better, now I’m choosing to learn more about what I’m eating, thanks to you that is!

My kids respect me as I tell them about their five a day and I also eat it with them. Even if they don’t like vegetables, they can see I put the effort it in, so you’re absolutely right.

It’s true and I do a lot of those bad things you speak of I wont lie, but I am working on myself, as you know I’m doing a lot of cardio, but my food habits still need work, but I can’t fault you for speaking the truth here.

My kids never like to eat healthy anyway, but they never moan or complain about it.

Why you may ask, as we all get stuck in, and I’m proud of that and they give me respect.

I agree, I look after my children with what they eat, and hope when they grow up they carry on eating food from mother nature.

I think that life would be boring without some form of unhealthy treats, but would I want to give my child the same thing, knowing what it’s doing to them?

How you explained it no, however I would like my child to make there own choices, but I think you was talking about very young children right ?

This has got me and my wife talking again, so thanks bud.

My children show me respect as respect is given back to them, they don’t argue with me about what we eat, as we all eat nearly the same every time.

My kids hated eating healthy when they was young, but still ate it anyway and now they thank me later on in life, as they are set up for life. I always felt respected, but they would have tantrums, but after I calmed them down it was fine.

I don’t have all of the answers, but I believe that we should be in charge of what are kids eat. I would hate the governments to do that for us, I really loved your points too.

I would be gutted if fizzy drinks were no longer sold, I should be able to choose what I want to drink, I would give my child if I had one to drink too, but I do see where you’re coming from, I just love fizzy drinks too much to stop now.

The food and drinks they pour loads of sugar in is killing our youth, and then they grow old and sick like me, I hope they take in what you say, you’re a good lad with good morals about health, you should be proud of yourself.
