Making sure that your metabolism is high is important when you’re looking to lose weight/ stay in shape.
When you make certain lifestyle choices, your body may slow down on your metabolism.
Over time these poor habits will make it harder for you to lose weight, here are some mistakes to avoid.
Eating Fewer Calories
Eating fewer calories can cause your metabolism to fall.
Yes, calorie deficit is needed for you to lose weight, of course it is, but it’s counterproductive for your intake of calories to drop too low.
Your body senses that food is scare, and it just lowers the rate at which it burns the calories. If you’re eating less than 1K calories per day, this will hurt your metabolic rate, it may sound a lot 1K, but it’s really not for a whole day.
You Still Need To Eat Protein
You Still Need To Eat Protein Protein helps us maintain our healthy weight.
This then makes us feel fuller for longer too, high protein foods can increase the rate at which our body burns calories.
So this means that if we feel fuller for longer we will not want to eat much else, when we don’t, we eat and eat you gain.
Especially when you’re eating trash foods!
This is no good and I think it’s pretty clear you will gain if you just sit around mostly.
Some it’s for your work, others just like to chill too much on the sofa.
This all has a negative effect on your metabolic rate and overall health.
We put too much on physical activity, thinking that’s the only way we are working out, but when we clean, walk up the stairs or even stand we are burning calories!
So keep moving and standing and burn, burn, burn!
