Why You Should Use The Food Hygine Rating System When Eating Out

This goes pretty much unnoticed, & only really on the mind of those that own the place/the experts that check out the place as their job.

This is just to inform you of why you should use the food hygiene rating system when eating out, to keep your chances from falling ill, from poor hygiene, or practices low.

We tend to just walk into a place and just order food, for me, I will not do that, I will check the place out first what they have and all that, then check reviews and just see if this is a fit for me or not.

Outside of that, I go deeper and look into the food hygiene, what is their current rating, what was it a year ago, 6 months ago, have they got a history of poor hygiene, is the water they are using clean.

All of this is a factor, not just, I walk in, get my food and eat, as I could wind up sick of the fact I do not vet the place first.

I’m not showing blind faith to any food outlet that I’m not in charge of, or I don’t know them (Chef/cook) as this is what you’re doing when you go into a food outlet and ask for food, the smaller picture is we sit and eat and leave.

Zero in on the bigger picture, what if I’m sitting down, I’ve ordered, and I see dirty cutlery that was just laid?

This is a red flag, if this is what they do from the start, what will the end be (That’s my food) the trust is gone.

Or better, yet I see rodents, like a rat running around under the table, I would run for the hills then, and so would you no ?

The surface that I’m sitting at, again if I even see a crumb I’m not eating there, whoever was last here has gone you’ve set up the table, hence why you told me to sit here, and there is crumbs?

This is not good practice, and you’ll find 8 out of 10 times, from my exp with my clients, they wound up falling ill, or a trip to the hospital, that’s anything from raw food to touching the surface of the table and it’s filthy, and then touching their mouth or eyes or whatever, 8 out of 10!

So when I look at a shop window and I see 5-star rating, I know that the chances are low, I still check everything but you’ll find it’s mostly spotless.

Now if you are eating a cheaper place (Fast junk) what does it matter if it’s 5 start hygiene?!

You’re eating rubbish, it’s not the hygiene, it’s what they are giving you, no ?

In which case, I do not advise you to do this, and stick to places that cook actual food & there is some form of waiting time, which real food that is cooked needs, I don’t care if it’s fine dine, there is a slot for everything that is real food, this instant crap, is killing you, I know you know this, but you do, over and over again!

If all else fails and there is no hygiene label anywhere, look with your eyes, feel the table, the chairs, look at the cooks, you can feel before you walk into a place what kind of establishment it is, don’t ignore it, if it feels dodgy, get out, quicker than that film!

THAT’S IT!

I’ve been sick at least once every year from that, sometimes just a bad belly ache, but often throwing up after, I’m using this system now.
