Coconuts are so versatile it’s crazy, skin care, hair care, dental etc, I could go on all day.
I’m focusing on the food side of things, so Coconut is a fruit Cocos nucifera, or you can just say Coconut palm.
We can use this in milk, oil and water to name a few. Coconuts came from Southeast Asia and the islands near the Indian and Pacific oceans.
However, in modern day, Coconuts are more global and have become very popular & have many health benefits.
So, I’m going to talk about the benefits and ways you can put Coconuts into your healthy lifestyle.
Coconuts & Fat
Coconuts are really not like most other fruits that are high in carbs, coconuts on the most part provide fat.
Now before you run away for cover, let me share my gems, okay?! They also contain protein, and traces of B vitamins.
They are high in manganese, which is great for bone health and the metabolism of carbs, proteins and cholesterol.
So I would advise you to eat Coconuts, but unlike other fruits, this can lead to weight gain, if you’re just eating loads in one setting.
In other words pace yourself, just like with nuts, you should not be going in hard and eating crazy, small slices will do.
It’s a great way for those that are used to eating junk, to get off it with food in small slices, but yet fills you up.
Blood Sugar Help
Coconuts are low in carbs and high in fibre and fat, which is great for blood sugar control.
Coconut oil for example helps lower blood sugar levels, which is anti-inflammatory properties and antioxidant content.
Once again, all you need is a little, and you’re set to go, it’s when we pour on a load that it will not be so.
Easy To Add To Your Lifestyle
You can eat Coconuts in so many ways, it can be used in rice, savoury, curries, by itself etc.
Just be aware that if you’re buying it in some jar instead of the coconut itself, it could well be trash, as they could add sugar, always check the label.
Raw coconut over some oatmeal, have you tried this yet? Please do it’s so good, also over yoghurt, I really like that too.
THAT’S IT!
I really enjoyed sharing this with you guys.
Please do let me know though…

Is the drink good also?
Yes, look at the back of the labels if it’s store bought, as it could be added sugar in it… If it’s straight from the coconut then yes for sure it’s good!
