Today, I want to talk about Coconuts & why you should be eating them.
So below I’ll go through it with you 🙂
Coconuts are high in fibre and fat and low in carbs.
It helps promote blood sugar level, antioxidants and antibacterial defence.
Coconut are a fruit from the coconut palm, typically speaking coconut are used for water, milk, oil and eaten.
Though it’s such a useful fruit, it can be used for a lot more than that, and is for sure something I would be using if I was trapped on a desert island!
The coconut tree is the most naturally widespread fruit tree on the planet earth!
It’s native to south-east Asia, but it first came from Africa, even though now you’ll find it in many other places like in north, South America, some places even in Europe! & so on.
The only thing I would say against Coconuts are that it’s high in fat. It’s the good fat don’t get me wrong, but some of you may feel funny, and been suckered into all fat is a bad word, when there is unhealthy fat.. LDL, which you know of & healthy fat.. HDL which you are in the dark in.
However, if you are looking to lose weight, don’t go crazy on them.
Also, things like coconut oil, if you use that in your dishes all the time you will put on weight.
Also, not good for your heart to be always eating that.
You have got your extra virgin oil to be using, your olive oil, you don’t always need the coconut oil, so use this on occasion.
Other than that, I would advise you to eat the coconut straight from the palm tree, it’s the best way to know that it’s giving you all the pros and not so much the cons, like with tinned ones.
