This is the second in a month’s worth of veg-based content to encourage you to eat more vegetables daily.
Instead of going for the junk food on autopilot, why not go for a cabbage instead?
Let’s get into it below!
Often mistaken for lettuce, as they look alike!
Not only does cabbage taste nothing like lettuce, but they’re not even a part of the same fam.
Cabbage is a part of the cruciferous fam/ whilst lettuce is a part of the daisy fam (Asteraceae).
Cruciferous vegetables like cabbage are all great for you to start getting in shape, so if you have cabbage and kale (As they are fam) you will get double the benefits!
Cabbage protects against certain cancers, reduces heart disease. Ok ,now a stumbling block could be, well…
It tastes really bitter, so what can I put it in to taste nice? So try this out below, and see if that changes anything for you…
You can ferment your cabbage into a nice little kimchi or sauerkraut, that will then mean it’s filled with plenty of probiotics, fermented foods are top tier when it comes to your immune/ digestive system.
The fibre and water content of the cabbage will prevent constipation, I find that many I advised to get onto fermented foods, have an 88 percent decrease of less trouble with their stomach.
My case Is done, now it’s over to you.
Thank You For Reading!
WHAT’S THE VERDICT?
I’m leaving that to the jury… Which is all of YOU?
Let me know in the comments, if this is a veg you will eat more of or not.
Put I’ll eat, or I won’t eat in the comment section.
