Why We Should Be Eating More Broccoli?

 This is the sixth in a month’s worth of veg-based content to encourage you to eat more vegetables daily.

 

Instead of going for the junk food on autopilot, why not go for some Broccoli instead?

 

Let’s get into it below!

 

My Case

Brassica oleracea, that is the plant species that Broccoli is from & really looks like a micro tree lol!

 

 It’s a veg that is so easy to add to your meals, and does not take any real time to put together a meal with them in it.

 

 It’s so healthy for us, and below is a breakdown of that…

Carbs

Protein

Fibre

Vitamin C

Vitamin A

Vitamin K

Vitamin B6

Selenium

 Potassium

Phosphorus

 

Broccoli you can cook it via boiling, stir-fry, steaming etc, or you can eat it raw.

 

 When it comes to cooking it, steaming takes away the least of the nutrients… Most of the others strips away some of the vitamin C for example, not steaming.

 

Of course, eating it raw, you will get everything from it too!

 

Broccoli is a brain power food too, it helps reduce the slow decline of your mind and helps with your nervous tissue function.

 

Just one serving of this, or any dark green vegetable, helps your mind from free-falling into decline at a rapid pace.

 

So, this is a veg I know that if you start eating more of, will really help you mentally, and when you know what it’s doing for you, you will notice ahhhhhhh, so the broccoli really got me like that, let’s get some more.

 

 I’m just making you aware of what you’re eating and the power that it has, to lit shape your mind and look after your body in the process.
