Why take 10 steps forward and then 12 back when you don’t have to ?
If you’re using processed food as a way to lose weight, you’re going to be yo-yoing your whole life.
Ain’t nobody got time for that right?!
So I’m just going to tell you why it’s a bad idea.
What Are Processed Foods ?
Processed food in a nutshell is any food that has been altered, like plastic surgery to make it simple lol.
All processed food is not the same for example when you grind beef or heat vegetables that is processed…
It’s just not going to make you unhealthy by eating that though.
That is called mechanical processing and that is quite different from those foods that are chemically processed.
These type of foods often have artificial substances in them, you’ll be able to see that on the back of the ingredients list.
They will have colours and sweeteners in them to next to nothing or zero nutritional value.
The foods I’m talking about are below, if you’re eating these you’re setting yourself up for hella work and just
wasting your time if losing weight is your goal and to keep it off too.
Why Is It Bad For Me ?
Other than what I just put above…
Processed food contains added sugar to mask you’re eating crap from the bin, it’s so high in fuctose corn syrup which will lead to such dieases like type-2 diabetes you know.
Also becasue it’s so sweet you’ll crave more of it, which in turn will add on the pounds which goes against what we are here for.
Fizzy drinks, sweetend beverages are all filed with sugar, it’s just too much, it dehydrates you and does nothing to fule you long term…
We need to be drinking water and staying hydrated as much as we can.
Refined carbohydrates is also found in processed food, it’s trash but don’t get it twisted with carbs from whole foods.
Carbs have many health benefits than refined carbs…
Refined carbs lead to quick spikes in your blood sugar and insulin levels, wich then drop real fast…
How you’ll know is you’ll experience food cravings & low energy.
Really you need to be ating whole grains, fruits, veg and beans etc.
As I said before processed food is also Low in nutrients, the only things they sometimes put in is synthetic vitamins and minerals to replace nutrients lost during the processing.
Where as whole foods provide healthy compounds that processed food just does not do.
So what I’m saying is eat real and not processed if you want the healt benefits and the weightloss that comes with it.
Processed food is also very low in fiber, which means it will not keep you fuller for longer what so ever.
Foods that are packed with fiber and will help you feel fuller for longer are foods such as fruits, veg, nuts and seeds & whole grains.
Processed foods also contain trans fat in them which is just unhealthy.
This is cheap fats, stuff like vegetable oils that have no damn oils in them at all, they care more about it lasting a long time than anything to do with health.
When doing this you up your chances of getting heart disease, stroke and type-2 diabetes.
Instead use extra virgin oil, coconut oil or olive oil.
