What Good Comes From Me Eating Local?

Β I wanted to share more with you from last time, you know about how to stay healthy but reduce your carbon footprint, if you missed it… (Read More)

Β

Β Β There are so many benefits when it comes to eating local, from the health benefits to the environment.

Β

Β I’m just going to list some more benefits of eating local that we should know about.

Β

It’s Fresh

Β As we should all know already, food that is grown by your hands or from the community that has not been important in are fresh, vs some distant place or flown in overseas like your supermarket items.

Β

You’ll find that local fresh food tastes a lot better, than none local food items, most of the food is harvested just a day or two before and put up to be sold.

Β

Your supermarket it’s been about week or more, and who knows what they really put in them to make them last longer.

Β

The more fresh food you can get the better it is for you and the earth of course.

Β

Local Food Is Di Nutritional

Β

I love this one! Fruit & veg fresh do not lose any nutrients, as they do not get transported anywhere or processed, it never has to stay sitting in some van or top shelve in a shop.

Β

That means you’ll get all that vitamin C and so much more, depending on the fruit and veg you choose to eat.

Β

Now you may not always be able to do so, but when the opportunity presents itself, go for it, go local as much as you can, they also make it a lot cheaper than in store food, and have lots of deals, for those that love a bargain or to haggle lol.

Β

A Chance To Try New Food

Β Who does not want to try out new food?!

Β

I mean, come on, this is your time to go local and eat something you’ve never tried before/had very often in a few years.

Β

You will always find a new herb, a tea, a plant, a flour etc that you’ve never had and want to try.

Β

Β You’ll never know what you’re missing out on if you don’t explore in what you eat, get out of your comfort zone and try something new.

Β

Shows You Just How Food Is Really Grown

This is excellent for the young and the old, buying local food you can really connect with the fresh food and the food producers in the farm.

Β

It’s a great way to learn what is in your food, what the benefits are of eating it etc, it’s something if you have a family can get into.

Β

Β If you have young children, this is a great habit to get them into, which they can take with them for the rest of their lives.

Β

It’s Just So Easy!

If you’re interested in eating local food, the best part of it all, it’s so easy!

Β All you have to do is this below…

Β

Β Go to your local farmer’s market & get use to all that they sell there, prices etc…

Β

Β You’ll find it’s much cheaper than supermarket items, and you get more for less.

THAT’S IT!

Β

I really enjoyed sharing this with you guys.

Β Β Please do let me know though…

Β

Will You Be Going To Your Local Farmers Market?

Β Β

What Was The Last Fruit & Veg You Had To Eat ?

Β Β

If You Already Buy Local, Please Share Your Exp With The Other Di1’s Please.
