Iron deficiency happens when your body does not have enough iron in it (Which is a mineral).
Our bodies need it because it makes a protein called hemoglobin now this is a red blood cell that carries oxygen to our bodies.
When there is not enough hemoglobin in your body, your tissues and muscles will not get the oxygen it needs around your body.
When there is a lack of hemoglobin in our body it leads to anemia.
There many types of anemia so do not get yourself confused with another one, this one (Iron deficiency is the most common one).
So this is really going to go through the common symptoms and what to do, because this has been requested so much I have to let you know.

More Tired Than Ever!
This is like the number one symptom that springs to my mind with iron deficiency.
When you lack iron you feel tired period.
The reason why you feel that way is because your body lacks the iron it needs to make that protein I was talking about hemoglobin…
Which helps carry oxygen around our bodies.
So not only do we have less oxygen reaching our tissues and muscles, which stops them from having any energy…

We then have to push even harder to move our oxygen blood around our bodies, this will then make you tired as it’s a hard job on next to nothing of oxygen!

The issue with this, why we don’t find out what is wrong with us, is everybody seems to be tired of something!

This is why I said more tired than ever, if you feel really really tired then do not ignore it you could be exp it.

Shortness Of Breath
It’s not just covid that causes shortness of breath.
Hemoglobin enables your red blood cells to carry oxygen freely around your body.
When the hemoglobin levels are low your breathing rate will drop, and your body will always try to get more oxygen.
So if you find yourself out of breath for just walking then it might not be Covid you may have low iron.
Headaches & Dizziness
Being low in Iron causes headaches, this is a trait mostly in women.
The symptoms for this seem very hard to point out, but mainly dizziness and feeling lightheaded.
I tried to do some digging into the link between iron deficiency and headaches but the evidence is still unclear.

If you think you’re going through symptoms of iron deficiency, you should make an appointment to see your doctor.
You really need to start eating enough iron through real foods too!

Very tired and stressed, it’s been a hard year.
Yeah I’ve been told by my doc that I am last week.
I’ve just been told by my doctor to sleep more hours during the day, but I really did think I had low iron for ages but could not get to see him for months.
I’m going to speak with my doctor thank you.
