Should I Be Eating Roti If I’m Looking To Lose Weight ?

A Frequent FAQ I’ve been getting for a while now is, “Do you eat Roti?”
 
 
“Do you know the food Roti?” & “Is It true that Roti is bad for weight loss ?” 
 
 
So I thought I would answer here, to put your mind at ease, lol.
 

Roti just like Chapati is a staple Indian food, that many have grown up eating with veggies on the side!
 
 
The reason why I’m being asked if it’s good for weight loss or not is because, it tends to be very high calories, so it depends on how it’s made and what you use, for whether it’s good for weight loss.
 
 
Wheat flour is used for Roti, which has plenty of protein in it along with fiber, carbs & minerals/vitamins that all help with your weight loss goals!
 
 
They tend to be really massive, so if you are eating it once in a while, it’s not going to make you gain weight like that, but if the rest of your meal is packed with rubbish, your belly will soon be, yaaa diggg?
 
 
 
If you want to make it super healthy though, so you can enjoy turn it to a Chapati multigrain, this will give you the best return.
 
 
 
You can also switch to such flours like pearl millet, jowar & ragi!
 
 
If you start making your veggies boiled, this will boost your protein intake that you are consuming.
 
 
 
We are still keeping the Roti small, and not going super sized, as we must get into the habit of going smaller.
 
 
When you do this, you leave more room for veggies and your fruits, this will keep you healthy & on the path to losing weight and being much healthier.
