Below, I am sharing a story about a young mother of two, who is also a Di1 of mine.
Β
Β She has chosen to raise her kids on plant based food only, so I thought this would be great content for those that have kids or looking to have them.
Β Β
So, here is her story, in her own words!
Hi, my name is Natasha Overman, and I’m a 28-year-old mother of two.
Β
When I was 20, I had a real realization, that change my life.
Β
I was studying the American diet randomly one night, It really made me take a look at my own values and reflect on some of the food I was eating.
Β
Days then became weeks, as I conducted some research, I then became aware of the ethical and environmental issues that I had never considered.
Β
Food choices have an impact on our planet, that really stuck with me. I have an example, the water state by state is not the same, a lot are contaminated and unsafe to drink like in flint.
Β
My own food choices were supporting industrial animal agriculture while calling myself an animal lover and one with nature, I felt sick.
Β
So, I started swapping western diet foods, such as meat driven food, for mainly plant based food instead.
Β
When I had my kids at 22 & 24, I choose to raise them both on plant based diets.
I started to feel more confident in myself, and felt like I was helping the planet.
Β
Keeping it real with you, sometimes I question my choice, I think everybody has days like these from time to time you know?
Β
Deep down I know it helps the ocean, preserve biodiversity, helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions plus gives me peace of mind.
Β
So, no matter what anyone thinks or says, I have that self belief in the choice I made, for myself and my kids.
That’s It!
Please show some love to Natasha, who was so brave to share her story with us.
Let me know your thoughts on it.

Thank you so much for this.
This was all Natasha π
Itβs super tough but so worth it when you see them growing up strong and healthy. Family makes it the most difficult but after a few of my outbursts they started getting the hint and now itβs a lot better.
Ahaha, I’m glad they got the message.
