How To Stick To Your Workouts All Year round

Are you sick and tired of not sticking to your workout routines ?

Well, I’m going to share with you my tips on how to stick to your workouts all year round!

So if you are still here and something real that can help you, then read below.

The first thing you need to be focusing on is why on earth you’re doing this in the first place ?

You need more than just surface level answers, this is why I always encourage you to play the why game (Learn How To Play).

Now that you’ve done that, the next thing is to actually have goals, what are you aiming for in your workouts, how often and so on.

I want you to remember that it’s to fit into your lifestyle, or should I say your lifestyle change!

So make sure it’s something that you can stick to, or you’re wasting your time, you also need to make it top three priority, if it’s not that deep for you, you will be on and off, and more off’s than on, and you will go back to your old ways again.

You also need to map out your workouts, what you are going to do on the day’s, until it’s auto in your head, even then you can still have it down, if you have no clue on what you’re doing, there are many workouts to follow, like mine (Read More Here)

Once you have some to do, actually do it, and then keep doing it, until your body is no longer finding it so hard any more, and then switch it up, you can come back to it, but as a whole you’ll need to switch it up, if you are doing your body weight this even more important as it will be done more often, vs weights in the gym it takes longer.

Your mindset, needs to shift, you’ll get these from repeating your actions, each time you work out, and then you go again, and not go back to your old ways, until it becomes a habit, which tends to happen after 90 days of action.

You need to keep your mind focused and cut off outside noise, I’m sure if you’re just starting out and doing something new you’re really happy, and some will be happy for you, but don’t be foolish and think everyone, even those close to you will be.

I’m talking to those that are doing this for the first time, you’ll find out quick that certain friends or family want you in your lane, or what they call your lane/box and if you overstep that mark they will throw shade/hate on you.

So in a way it’s good, so you can see who is trying to sway you from not working out and keep you in the same shape, as none of these want to see your best self, or even worse than that, when you have clearly changed, lose weight, or gained muscles, they pretend like they have not noticed, but behind your back whispering what you have achieved to each other.

It’s cool to have a workout buddy if you can find one that has similar goals, but I know many of you can feel like you don’t want to do it alone, and it’s the biggest lesson you must learn, as your workouts are still done by you, nobody else can do that work for you.

It’s best in life to be able to push yourself, if you can do this for workouts, you can do it for anything else, if you can get through sheer utter pain in workouts, you can do that for even bigger physical pains of life.

Your attitude is everything, if show up for you & give your body the best chance it can to get healthy and fit, if you’re already fit and healthy, but want to take your body to the next level, your attitude again is everything.

It does not matter if you’re at the top or the bottom when it comes to this, it matters that you start or keep going, it’s not hard really, it’s your mind that needs to turn on that switch, you already show this desire for other things in your life, if you switched on that same energy for working out you’ll understand.

If your fire has burnt out, and you feel jaded, after working out for many years, that’s down to a lack of change in your routine, you need to freshen things up, go somewhere else if you’re at the gym, there are many ways to work out, to never feel like this, I know as humans we don’t like to change, but everything does daily, so it’s best to stay present and change things before you fire goes out.

Lastly, seek tips an advice, from those you trust. Like for myself, this is what I do all the time, the OG’s that have been here from the start my Di1’s already know, they can ask me about tips about working out, if they feel stuck or need help I’m here.

There is a whole world wide web at your finger tips too, however it is like the wild west, why would you waste your time and then go back and fourth, it’s best to stick with someone you trust, like the ones that come here, read and apply, then get results.

If you are getting info from many sources, when you are new that does not help you, it confuses you, when you are doing this all the time you can get from many sources and chop it up to your lifestyle, you don’t want to end up being that new person that knows in words, about everything, even advsing others, about you do this and that, but never get around to working out yourself!

Also when you hit certain goals, don’t just say right on to the next, pat yourself on the back, thank yourself for not giving up, smile, take pictures, tell someone that actually will be happy for you if you have them.

All of this above is all you really need to get going on this, or to get your fire back that you once had, I know I’m talking to somebody, make the most of your body now, when you are really old your body will thank you for it.

That’s It!

I’ve enjoyed sharing this with you, please do let me know though

what your thoughts are on what I had to say.

Ciao for now 😉
