Want to do your stretches but worried about hurting yourself by mistake ?
We’ve all had that thought before I’m sure, so I want to help you, with what to do and what not to do when it comes to stretching, so that you can prevent your chances of getting hurt.
Just so you know, the risk of an injury, pain or discomfort increases when you move!
We are designed to move, so in anything you do moving, your risk of injury increases, even if you are still and your posture is not right you can hurt yourself, it’s all a risk no ?
So what helps with this is too stretch when you first wake up, your whole body.
If you’re going to exercise, again, start stretching.
Everything you are doing take your time, don’t have to rush it, it does not take very long but yet can stop you from getting hurt during your day.
Make sure your movement is smooth & you are not bouncing around, balance is very important when stretching.
Make sure at the end of a workout you stretch too, everything must be gentle, you don’t want to tear something.
Hold your stretches for no longer than 30 seconds!
Don’t hold your breath when doing stretches, you are not underwater!
Do not over do stretching, what I mean by that is just doing it for the sake of doing it, when you’ve done it already, you’re doing it like 10 or 20 times a day…
Over stretching can cause you an injury and you don’t want that either, stretching every morning is fine, stretching after an end of a workout is good also.

How do you know when your body is fully stretched ?
When it feels lose, you can easily check by doing your stretches and see if you are stiff or not.. I hope it helps.
