Since 2020 a lot of you have been doing a lot more cooking than before, if ever before!
As I’m sure you were aware of the fact that nearly everything was shut down, for a long time… Like your restaurants and so on, as we were told to keep a social distance from each other.
Making decisions on what to eat, has given a lot of you stress & I’m getting questions and being told in person about feeling the burnout from cooking all the time since 2020.
So this is really about how not to get in this stressful place, and help you get out of it, if you’re in it now.
Ask For Tips
If you’re bored with what you’re eating, that’s fine!
There are so many foods to try for the first time, you can always ask for ideas from friends, chef’s etc.
This could spice things up for you and get you out of the rut you face, with feeling burnt out.
I don’t share recipes on here, as a lot of others do & I feel like it’s not something I would natural do.
As I want to keep this as authentic as I can whilst, knowing that what I’m writing is being read, seen, used and practiced upon by many all across the globe!
However, is someone asked me what I like to eat, or what new dishes have you tired of course I will tell them, and they will tell me what they eat etc. Don’t be afraid to ask questions.
Share The Cooking & Plan Your Meals
It makes sense, if you are living with another, that you both do a something to help make what you’re going to eat.
So it could be they do all of it some days, and you do it on the others, or you both do it together, just like, a head chef and a sous’ chef come together and help the food get done.
Plan ahead of time, too, what you will be eating & let each other know what you will be cooking.
Ideas can really spark then, and you could end up with a meal that is even better than you thought of, as both of you had an input in it.
Always Write Down What You Eat /Meals To Your Door
I’m a huge advocate of writing down everything that you eat, as it’s important to know what you consume, but this is for cooking your meal.
So this is planning ahead, make note of what you will cook, the weekday and the weekend.
What this will do is give you some space mentally, so you are not thinking about the next meal, you already know what you will be doing, then you just do it, this can really help, and decrease stress.
Another one is having all of your meals already prepped for you, there are services that do this, like a meal kit, and they deliver it to your door.
That way, all you have to do is cook it, the prep is done.
This could ideal for those of you that are all over the place, and not very organised, or just really got your eyes full of other things to do.
As much as you can, eat fresh, it does not normally take anytime, or very little time at all to eat fresh.
If we all ate more fresh food, how much better would our health be?
Fresh no stress right?
You can get these fresh foods into our bodies and take all the benefits from it, not everything has to be a take-out.
Not everything has to be oh let’s not eat, you can go fresh too.
I hope that all of you can do this more than you do already, same with what we drink…
Water is the best choice for you, It cost less than drinks that are no good for you, we all have a choice, choose wisely, is all I’m saying.
THAT’S IT!
Until We Meet Again, Ciao

Aha, good, good!
It’s like mise en place, It’s french and roughly translates as everything in its place.
When applied to cooking, it means that you set out everything you need, in the order that you will use it, before the start of cooking
. That way, you won’t rush around trying to find things whilst worrying about the pot boiling over, because you know where everything is to begin with. It helps to make a cooking a lot less stressful.
Facts! I like that you mentioned this Rio, thank you.
