Food Additives You Need To Be Aware Of

  You should always read the label, even for foods that you always buy, as it’s subject to change and does change every so often.

What I’m concerned about nowadays are my Di1’s and their additives. 

 

We need to be on the look-out for these and red flag them and leave them off our carts for good. 

 

They’re used to enhancing taste and flavour, but also texture and appearance… In most cases to extend it’s shelf life.

So I’m going to expose these additives right about now, let’s go!

 

 Artificial Food Colouring

This is used to make the plain colourful, you’ll most likely see this and such trash like candy.

 

This is a major health risk that is giving to kids, and it’s getting worse!

 

For example, the yellow, blue and red dye is known to give out allergic reactions in too many people for my liking.

 

Of course in young children it can make them hyper, but we all know that one, right?

 

However, did you know that red dye they put on these candies is increasing the risk of thyroid tumours?

 

This is something that will increase over the next 10 to 20 years, so keep an eye out for that one.

 

Sodium Nitrite

Sodium nitrite is found in meats mainly, this acts as a preservative to prevent bad bacteria from going on the meat.

 

When the meat is exposed to high heat because of the amino acids, nitrites can morph into nitrosamine… which is a compound that can be bad for our health.

 

For example, it increases your chance of getting stomach cancer.

 

The type of meats I’m talking about are processed, so you already know… Bacon/sausages etc is the cause of this.

 

So when you’re buying meat, make sure it’s unprocessed and comes from a healthy source, which will be packed with protein.

 

High-Fructose Corn Syrup

This is a sweetener made from corn, very bad for our health indeed.

 

You’ll find this in such trash like fizzy drinks, store bought juices, and sugary breakfast cereals/snack foods.

 

Fructose on its own of course is just a simple sugar, it’s that added sugar that is killing us as a whole.

 

High-fructose goes hand in hand with weight gain and diabetes type-2.

 

Many complain about belly fat, but yet still consume drinks and so called food with this in it.

 

This is bad for your blood sugar levels also, this can further lead to heart disease and cancer.

 

Why waste your time eating this crap ?

 

I can’t even take you serious if at this point, you claim to want to be healthy but still consume after reading this.

 

Artificial Flavouring

Artificial flavouring are chemicals that designed to copy the taste of other ingredients, even though they are not really there.

 

This saves comps plenty of money as it’s cheap to do, think of popcorn, when you have it sweet they’re putting in caramel… How do you think it gets sweet? Of course, it’s the flavouring.

 

Another thing I don’t really hear been spoken about is the toxic effects of artificial flavouring, for example you know these so called treats they sell in the shops like chocolate, biscuit etc they all have toxic effect on your bone marrow cells.

 

So if you ever need a new bone marrow, this could mess it up with suitable donors… Which then means your chances of getting a new bone marrow is low and you could be going to the sky’s sooner than you thought.

 

For those of you that only drink chocolate milk or hot coco please read the label and look for where it says at the back chocolate or coco the ingredients list obs.

If it says chocolate flavouring or artificial flavouring, put that ish back!
