Caribbean Food Stops Inflammation Too!

Nobody wants chronic inflammation, which can be got via…

Poor eating habits, lack of sleep & being stressed out often.

All of this can cause you to get obese, type-2 Diabetes, certain Cancers & heart failure.

So, what better way to prevent this, then to take food that is used a lot in the Caribbean

for my Di1’s!

These other foods are done out, when the Caribbean waves are here, Yuzeemeh!

West Indian Cherry AKA Acerola

This has high levels of vitamin C, which is great against inflammation.

The west Indian cherry fights free radicals in our body, it reduces the risk of some cancers too.

If you live in a hot climate, you can get your hands on these for sure, and to get the best out of them eat them pure and not in powder form.

Also, the West Indian Cherry bloom in the spring & autumn.

Pimento Pepper

This is a part of the Capsicum family!

The pimento peppers rang from quite mild to quite hot, and when eaten

with soup, it really helps you lose weight.

Adding this to other dishes, such as a stew, really will aid your weight loss.

So if you’re not into spicy food, you should be ok, as you can get them mild as I said.

Red Sorrel

Red Sorrel lowers blood pressure and your cholesterol.

It will help reduce body weight & inflammation.

The reason Red sorrel is so good is that it has good acids in it, you will find in the Caribbean it is very popular as a drink hot/cold.

You can get them in dried leave form too to make your own with, however in the Caribbean it’s only made and drunken mostly at Christmastime as a juice.

Passion Fruit

PASSIONATE FROM MILES AWAYYYYYYY!

Passion fruit really does give you more life, it’s used in many herbal medicines to treat anxiety & is a part of the Passiflora fam.

It has a high amount of anti-inflammatory & antioxidant compounds in them, which is good as this will help us lower our blood pressure, high blood sugar levels and cholesterol too.

Get your spoons & dig into some Passion fruit!

THAT’S IT!

I really enjoyed sharing this with you guys.

Please do let me know though…
