6 Things That Make You Gain Unwanted Fat

If you’ve been putting in the work on your fitness, great! If you’ve been smart with your eating, fantastic! But if you feel you’ve  done both all to no avail and in fact you’re actually gaining rather than losing, then it’s time you adjusted what you’re doing and stop gaining the unwanted fat once and for all.

Below are the 6 Things That Make You Gain Unwanted fat.

Not Getting Enough Sleep

This is very important and should not be overlooked, as you can eat great and workout great but if your sleep is awful then you’re going to gain weight…no debate.

I’m not necessarily talking about the time you go to bed, it’s more to do with the hours you are getting for yourself regularly per night.

Anything under 8 hours is not enough sleep and will increase your chances of gaining, likewise if you sleep over 9 hours you will not only gain weight you would have overslept and be extremely tired which will affect the rest of your days during the week.

To think you can catch up on your sleep is a myth.. the only thing that can be done there is to get a routine going, and to stick to that as often as you want to stop gaining unwanted fat and a good night’s sleep.

You need to take a read of this for further value  (CLICK HERE)

Once you’ve got this routine going use these gems  (CLICK HERE) you’ll have elite sleep for many years once you’ve applied it 😉

Sitting Down For Way Too Long

This is a big problem we are facing especially in the western countries as the average person sits for 9 to 11 hours per day!

Now this may not seem like too much of a problem, but we as humans, are not designed to be sedentary as we’re designed to move (CLICK HERE)

Being sedentary has shown time after time to lead to gaining weight and even obesity if done for many years.

You’ll have a higher risk of getting  many chronic diseases that plague the overweight like a mouse to poison.. we all know what happens to a mouse after that.

Also, the average adult who sits around for longer than 11 hours per day, has a 40 % chance of dying earlier.

To combat this  you need to stand up more often move around where you are, It doesn’t matter if you’re at work…move! A standing desk would be ideal if you’re likely to be sitting down for longer periods, let’s say at work etc.

Should you throw away your chair?  No because I mentioned earlier that “we’re designed to move” not to sit down  for too long but neither to stand around in one spot for long periods, which also causes severe pains over time to your feet, back and knees. So instead we should all aim to mix it up, move around, stand and sit down  (In that

order).

Not Drinking Enough Water

Get rid of all the sodas and juices that are dehydrating your body and drink more water.

Not drinking enough water can have you feeling tired, sick and thirsty, to the point where you brain believes it’s hungry when in fact it’s thirsty.

The benefits of water can be read here (CLICK HERE).

As you might have known already, drinking water helps you to lose weight but how much should you drink?

Well drinking 6 to 8 glasses of water per day  (Excluding hotter climates – you’ll have to drink 3 to 5 more glasses) will keep you at a healthy weight and if you’re overweight it will aid you to lose weight.

Not Having Healthy Snacks

This one really goes without saying; you can work out all day if you like but if you’re fueling yourself with trash.. your body will rep a loaded  bin bag!

You need to fall in love with the process of actually eating real food and not chocolates, cakes and crisps (CLICK HERE) .

If you want to have your chocolate cake and eat it too.. ok but you’ll have the unwanted fat you cannot seem to get rid of also, which will lead to you taking  such trash like  powders, pills, heck, an injection filled with dodgy chemicals to fail miserably at making you first healthy and then getting rid of the fat, because the thing is, these products will maximize  you in all the wrong places and not minimize you.

You then get hooked like a  fiend and then you think you need more and more, all the while your body is being destroyed by this trash you are putting inside of yourself.

The question is how much does that cake really matter to you over your own health?

Shopping Without A List

When you’re shopping.. like really shopping (More than a couple of items) for food you need a purpose, If it’s just “I’m hungry” or “I Just need to eat”. The chances are you’ll gain weight as all you’re thinking about in that moment is to eat anything in sight.

That’s when you’ll pick up the first thing you see, which for most of you reading this will be all the bright colored wrappers and boxes which  9 times out of 10 are high in sugar and fat.

Having a list will help you shop for only what you came in for, nothing else, and save you money. You’re less likely to impulse buy unhealthy food.

It’s been shown in general that people who have shopping lists eat much more healthily than people who do not.

Needless to say, these same people have a better quality of life and have more money to spare.

If you have no clue about what is healthy food and what isn’t  when you are shopping, or you don’t have a clue how to read food labels, then (CLICK HERE) and start shopping with confidence and knowledge.

 Not Eating Enough Protein

Not eating enough protein is more than likely making you gain unwanted fat.

This after all is an important nutrient that helps you stay fuller for longer, whilst of course eating less food.

Eating more protein can preserve muscle mass and boost your metabolism, which is quite important for maintaining a healthy weight.

So what kind of protein should I be eating? Well foods such as Fish, Lentils, Tofu, Eggs and Meats .

Here are some gems you can apply right away (CLICK HERE)

THAT’S IT!

I really enjoyed sharing this with you guys.  Please do let me know though…

Great article here Karim! I have to be honest I basically live on junk food now and it is starting to worry me. I get cravings for junk food as my will power is not great. . That being said my motivation outweighs my cravings to eat like this now since reading this article shall we say. My triplets are very frank about my appearance apparently I’m growing 😅
I’m downloading the meal plan and I hope to be coached by you in the future, thank you for pushing me to be healthier 🙂
