Why Salt Shouldn’t Be Your BAE

I’m not really talking about the guy above LMAO do not worry ladies and gents!

This is all about Salt and for the next time you use it, it’s done in a healthier way so check this out below..

Salt In & Outs

Table Salt is made up of sodium and chloride, which are both chemicals that are needed for our health.. just in small amounts.

Both of them are naturally in many of the foods we already eat it’s not necessary at all to add them to prepared meals.

It’s come to the point where as a whole we are so drilled to add Salt to everything even when it’s not needed, which is why there is high rates of high blood pressure and heart attacks because of a high intake of Salt.

My message is adding a small moderate amount of Salt is fine, but to add excessive amounts..

I mean you can see it all over your food is unhealthy or it taste of it where it’s powerful, is of course too much and is unhealthy

For myself I do not even have any Salt shaker or anything at the table but I understand many do so please just do not go wild with it, and work on having less meals with it on as it will only make you healthier.

So how much Salt should we be eating per day?

No more than 5 grams & that’s less than one tea spoon by the way! but from what I know in general most are eating 8 grams plus and that’s way too high and we need to reduce our intake ASAP!

What About The Healthy Salts?

We are told that Sea, Himalayan, Rock, Black Pink etc are all much better for us than your average salt right?

They tell us that these salts have minerals that are good for us, which would make us want to increase our salt intake right?

The issue I have with these claims is that all of these Salts that are sold.. so that’s 9 out of 10 of them are sold with only a very small amount of the healthy stuff.

What you must understand too just like those who claim Gluten everything is healthy which is a myth.. Salt is still Salt period.

To try and add more salt to your meals thinking it will benefit you is a mistake and I just want you to know that when you think of Salt, it should always be reduce, reduce reduce.

I mean if you really want the healthy minerals and other nutrients daily, your fruits & vegetables cover that and will not make you unhealthy via eating them obs.

 The Final Cut Off

Now for those of you who are craving Salt and cannot dream of reducing, or really struggling this one is for you.

I understand for many how hard this is going to be as any new habit is at the start, but the key word is to start..

Day by day take less and less and before you know it you wont have to think as it will be automatic.

It’s possible to retrain your taste buds to like foods with less salt in them for sure..

The same goes for the sweet tooth’s out there.. It’s just are you willing to put that time in and to believe that you can?

To make that cut off for example you could eat mostly fresh foods instead of processed ones which have high salt added to them.

You could go for canned food that has no added salt or low salt instead or even adding spices and herbs instead of salt with everything.

It’s like a bad Ex that keeps texting or calling you and you don’t want to get back with them.. You’re not going to keep their number are you ?

As in the end you’ll end up picking up or replying back, even if it’s just to tell him/her to do one LMAO..

So let your salt shakers gather some cobwebs or just leave it in the cupboard and off the table, then tell me if you’re not reducing your intake.

THAT’S IT!

I really enjoyed sharing this with you guys. Please do let me know, though…

Are you willing to break it off with BAE?

Was This Helpful To You?

The best thing to do is to write all what we eat down so we can keep track of what we eat.
