The 4 Subs For Milk (Non-dairy!)

This is for those that cannot drink cow’s milk, don’t like it, or just seeking another form of milk etc.

For many of you the staple is cow’s milk, and you have it with your drinks, tea, coffee and cereal, but I would even suggest that you still read this because there are many alternatives for you to try if you wish.

Here are four of them below…

Soy Milk

Soy aka soybeans is what makes soy milk, it’s normally having a creamy taste to it, and I would suggest you get the unsweetened one for your health.

It has 4.5 grams of fat, 8 grams of protein and 4 grams of carbs. If you’re looking for a sub that is similar in nutrition numbers like cow’s milk, then this is as close as you’ll find to cow’s milk.

For example, soy milk has very similar amounts of protein in it as cow’s milk but fewer calories, fats and carbs in it. Another plus is that it’s a complete protein, which provides all the essential amino acids.. Which is a rare.

Almond Milk

Did you know that almond milk is made with either almond butter and water or whole almonds?

Almond unlike soybeans is very light in terms of the texture, sweet and nutty flavoured of course!

The grams are very low 2.3 to 2.5 grams of fat, 1 grams of protein and 1 to grams of crabs.

Also, only 32 to 35 calories are found in almond milk.

It’s one of the best for lowest calorie non-dairy milks you can buy, so if you’re looking to consume fewer calories… Go Almond.

I’ve literal done a whole post about it, if you want to know more about Almond milk (READ MORE)

Coconut Milk

Coconut milk is made mainly from water and white flesh from the coconuts themselves.

Coconut milk is very creamy and sweet as you would expect, it contains 45 calories and 4 grams of fat, there are no    protein and next to no carbs in them.

Coconut milk has very little fat in it compared to cow’s milk but has less protein and carbs than cow’s milk too.

Come to think of it coconut milk has the lowest amount of carbs and protein out of the non-dairy milks!

If you need a protein increase this is not the milk for you, but if you’re looking to reduce your carb intakes then this is the milk for you.

Oat Milk

 Oliver Twist gonna love meeeeeeeee!

Oats is made from a mix of oats and water, but to make it taste nicer they have put oils and salt to make the texture and taste better.

Oat milk is sweet in flavour, when I say sweet I mean like eating a banana not some frosties ting lmaoooo!

It has 145 to 171 calories, 4.5 to 5 grams of fat, 3 to 5 grams of protein and 22 to 28 grams of carbs in it.

You’ll find also that oat milk has a similar number of calories as cow’s milk, but has more carbs & less protein and fat in it.

Oat milk is very cheap and easy to make at home, but of course you can just buy it from the shop just like other milks.

THAT’S IT!

I really enjoyed sharing this with you guys. Please do let me know though…
