Today you are going to learn about the 3 benefits of Bananas, and how you can eat them more regularly. As you know already Bananas are very healthy and delicious.
They contain many nutrients that are essential to us, and have other benefits such as: Digestion & Heart health.
Besides from being nutritious though, they are also very handy to carry around when traveling (Click Here) and make a very scrumptious snack.
So without further ado here are the 3 benefits of Bananas.
Potassium- The benefits include prevention from stroke, blood pressure, heart and kidney disorder, and cramps. Also makes our muscles stronger, Bone strength, metabolism and nervous system.
The primary function in our body is to regulate fluid balance and control the electrical activity of the heart and our other muscles.
Lowers Stress Levels- Having a Banana at hand is very…well, handy because you can carry it around, put it in your pocket like we all do with our mobiles and is faster to eat than going to a fast “food” joint (Why I’ve heard no one else say this, I do not know) and having to wait for someone to prepare your poison.
You can also cut it up, put into a sandwich or Greek yoghurt etc. It’s very versatile food, so there is no “I’m too busy to eat a Banana” because really it takes no prep… it’s done for you to the point that the only thing it doesn’t do is to spoon feed you, LOL… This really does help reduce your stress levels when searching for something to eat, yet there’s more.
Potassium & magnesium are muscle relaxants, and of course Bananas are a very good source of potassium but also magnesium. They also contain the amino acid called L-tryptophan, which gets converted to 5-HTP into our brains apparently. The 5-HTP in turn is converted to serotonin (Relaxing neurotransmitter) and melatonin.
Vision- I know Carrot normally gets all the glory for helping our vision, Bananas do play their role too. They are packed with antioxidant compounds and carotenoids, as well as a mixture of minerals which really will boost the health of your eyes.
DID YOU KNOW?: Cataracts, Night Blindness & Glaucoma have been known to decrease with a regular intake of Bananas.
That’s It!
I really enjoyed sharing this with you guys. Please do let me know though…
What do you make of all this?
Are you going to eat Bananas more regularly now?
How often are you stressed out?
What is stopping you from taking action right now?
Are you glad I’m back this year?
Of course Any other questions are always welcome just leave a comment below
Until Then Ciao

I eat Bananas often anyway but I still learned a lot
That’s fine Mia… I’m glad you’ve come away with value anyway 🙂
I agree with you completely 🙂 it’s so simple when you think about it.
Yeah it’s really effortless Ezekiel.
I thought this was a nice easy read with lots of points to it.
I’ve always said that I will eat fruit through the year, but never end up doing it. Your case about the Bananas though has got me out of the house to buy a bunch.
Haha I have that power over people Billy.
Sometimes life just gets to much you forget about what’s important. There is nothing stopping me from eating Bananas, I’ll be eating them more now because of this.
That’s what I like to hear Jeremiah… have a good day now 🙂
I’m stressed out pretty much on a daily bases thanks to my job.
Fantastico brother!
Nice to have you back Karim 🙂
I get very stressed out over work,I don’t see how a Banana can help me.
Great blog you have here 🙂
Thanks Mercedes 🙂
Bananas make me bloated and constipated so I don’t eat them anymore.
That’s because the Banana you ate wasn’t ripe. Dobos a ripe Banana will not make you feel bloated or constipated, I would encourage you to eat a ripe Banana (Yellow with dark spots on it) for yourself and you’ll see the difference 🙂
You’ve helped me out a lot with this post THANK YOU!
Your welcome Amelie… I’m glad I could help 🙂
They taste great in oatmeal. I don’t think I could eat plain oatmeal without them.
When is a Banana fully ripe ?
When it’s yellow with dark spots on it… the more dark spots the ripper it is 🙂
Love the blog. Can you eat Brown Bananas ? Is there anything different about doing so ?
Yes you can eat brown Bananas. I think you mean the difference between that and a yellow Banana right? If so it’s much more ripper, to the point of it being very sugary! all natural granted it’s just not as healthy as when it’s still most yellow with dark spots on it.
If you have Diabetes or are aiming to cut back on sugar (Ideally so Sienna) then you’ll not want to eat it.
I hope that helps! and thanks for the question & love shared 🙂

Nice one.
This has motivated me to stop going to the sweet shop and wasting my money on Chocolates and Beer.
Powers to you… Follow through, you’ll see things change 🙂
Good for you David.
Thanks
Well done David!
Cheers
I love Bananas but I just don’t eat a lot of fruit in general. Suppose I can make more effort to eat them now.
Was going say same.
No excuses I’m committed to my health, thank you for sharing your wisdom.
Your welcome Nikolaj. I’m happy for you that you are committed 🙂
Do you bake Banana at all Karim ?
No Jax.
I like this article Karim good job. I was wondering as I recently went to Jamaica,Is there such thing as a Banana tree?
Thank you very much Andrew. Nope it’s actually a herb! As the herb plant does not have any woody tissues (Look it up) so it cannot be a tree even though it looks like one… Hope that helps mon 😉
This along with your newsletter has really encouraged me to look into all kinds of fruits. Thank you for being so helpful.
That’s ok Bas I’m glad you found it so 🙂
I always knew it was healthy but I never knew why, not in so much detail.
thanks for explaining!
Nice to have you back Karim. I’ve made it a goal of mine this year to eat fruit every day for a year! I’ll let let you know how I get on, would you be interested?
That’s fantastic to hear Melvin! Yeah of course keep me posted man 🙂
Great I will do 🙂
Banana’s are AMAZING for preworkout, I eat most of the time then 🙂
I like to mash mine up what about you ?
Only when I’m having my shakes.
You and me are exactly the same.
It makes me throw up so I have it afterwards.
Interesting benefits here. I had no idea that it helped with vision.
Bananas always make me sleepy why is it that ?
It’s most likely because Bananas are high in magnesium… and this mineral is actually a muscle relaxant.
I hope that helps We Look Up 大
That’s really fascinating to know, I too have taken the occasionally nap after eating a Banana.
WOW that’s crazy.
Great post Karim.
I went to my supermarket and bought some after I read this 🙂
I like this one Karim, more bananas in the pocket in the future Haha 🙂
I’ve never heard of Bananas doing anything for vision before.
I get stressed out when I’m rushing to get to work in the mornings.
Yes it’s fantastic to have you back Karim! be sure to check out my blog this week.
Will do Michaël 🙂

You’ve made some great points here for pro bananas. In the morning I buy coffee every time, so really I could buy a banana as well.
It’s not going to break my bank, thank you for getting me thinking lol.
Yup it’s a smart investment… lol no problem Ollie 🙂
Nice Karim. I never knew Bananas where so interesting, I’m happy you’re back of course 🙂

I love bananas too, but I don’t really eat more than 2 a day. Usually one in my smoothie and sometimes one on its own.
Bananas are WAY healthier than candy.
All day Dubravko 🙂

Bananas totally save me from starving during work hours, I can’t get enough of them.
Haha
Bananas are the best fruit,I eat them 3 times a day.
Bananas are awesome! I eat them like a monkey 🐒
LOL true true
No major problems! banana is one of the fruits I love the most, but I guess I’ve been putting junk food ahead of it for a while now. I’m going to start eating them more often now 🙂 how does 2x a day sound ?
It sounds good Dirk 🙂
I completely agree,I put mine in greek yoghurt like mentioned.
I find in the winter I’m eating much less fruit in general than in the warmer months. In the winter i tend to eat biscuits more, I’m working out on reducing the biscuits and eating more fruits.
I really dig this article great job.
Thanks Tom 🙂
This has really worked for me Karim. My skin has improved since I increased banana consumption.
