What Are Pears?
Pears are normally green bell-shaped fruits, that when ripe are really soft & you can normally put your finger through it.
They taste really nice, and we should be eating more of them as a whole.
What you may not know is that over 3,000 types of pears around the globe!
They’re in all kinds of shapes and sizes.. even the sweetness is not the same with all of them.
Helps You Lose Weight
Pears are very low in calories & very high in water & we cannot forget it’s packed with fiber too!
This combo is great because it’s weight loss friendly for sure & because it’s high in water it will keep you fuller for longer.
As I said before above pears have fiber in them, it’s not just vegetables that increase your fiber as some would have you think.
The fiber it contains is a soluble fiber called pectin, which nourishes gut bacteria and improves gut health.
We do not want any inflammation in our gut either, and it really helps prevent that, so I’m talking heart disease, cancer, obesity etc.
This is a good thing that they are so easy to eat on the go!
Pears are available all year round and are sold in..
Supermarkets, farmers’ markets, if you lucky you may have a lot of pear trees where you live ! (I’m not saying what you’re thinking!).
You tend to eat pears whole also but if you wanted more in your snack let’s say, you can add nuts with it.. add the pears to oatmeal or to your salad.
For your lunch or dinner it’s well known that pears are used in chicken and pork dishes.
I would just say that if you’re going to eat pears, you should really eat the skin you’re getting the most nutrients via eating the skin too.
