Breakups can be real messy, but it can be a lot worse when it comes to our own self image of our self’s.
We tend to be our own biggest critics on how we appear, and I know there are many Di1’s and others who are very harsh on themselves.
Words that spring to mind that I hear almost on a daily from some of the Di1’s that I’m blessed enough to know and to help on this health journey..
“I hate myself because I’m so fat” “I’m ugly” “My life starts when I get skinny”.
Now that really sadness me to hear such self negative talk from another person, but I do have empathy for those who feel like this.
Let’s not kid are self’s here all the magazines, billboards, TV encouraging everyone to be one size fits all.. putting myself in the position of a women
where the pressures on appearance is very high, I can’t imagine feeling like this every day/most days.
I would also like to note that yes this is a weight loss site.. but it’s so much more, it also helps anyone of any shape or size to eat much better, what not to eat and what is a myth and what is pure and true.
I never tell anyone that they must look a certain way, I always say that you should feel a certain way which is healthier and the rest will take care of itself!
It’s more important what your body can do than what your body looks like anyway for the most part.. I suppose if you’re a body builder or a smaller seized model you will need to look a certain way because it’s a part of your job, but for the most part I see men that want to look like Cristiano Ronaldo but have the body type of Carlos Tevez.. or Ariana Grande but have the body type of Kim Kardashian.
That’s not really productive because that’s like asking yourself to grow wings and fly it will not happen!
I urge any of you that think like this to go with what you’ve got, and be the best version of your body you can! Does that mean I’m telling you to stay at the weight you currently are even if you happen to be obese?
I want obesity out of all of our lives once and for all, but you don’t have to look like Cristiano or Ariana to do so.. just the best version of your body you can be, which is none obese.
So from now on instead of tuning into your own self doubts, friends, family ect, try tuning out and turn off the noise.
Start making a list of positive things about your body, surround yourself with others who are positive (Tune in for that)
Take care of your body, if you’re really not happy or satisfied with your body and feel you can do a lot more, that’s fine you can build from that.. rather than making your body worse via shoving junk down your throat, how about opting for something that will help your body instead like some real food?
If you’re religious or believe in the universe you can pray on this or speak with affirmation about loving your body more and becoming the best version of your body you can be.. or the best version of yourself/ the healthiest version of yourself ect.
Lastly compliment others let them others know what you like about them, you never know who could be suffering the same sort of issues that you have.. more to the point it’s nice to hear compliments let alone about our bodies or appearance from someone we know or do not know (Excluding the creeps ladies!)
In a broken world that has so much negative events taking place with far too many brothers and sisters with such hate in their hearts, I believe it’s on us to spread love and positive vibes wherever we may be around the world.
Thank you for taking your time out of your day to read this letter, I love each and every one of you for showing me love or showing me hate (It’s care either way) and always having something to say..
I could never of imagined I would have such a loyal Di1 base, that always turn up and show so much care for what I share with y’all, THANK YOU, THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!
Until next time
