7 Foods That Are High In Iron

We need Iron in our bodies because it’s main job is to carry oxygen throughout our bodies as part of the red blood cells.

Now how much Iron stays in your body will depend on how much you have stored in the first place, a lack of Iron creates deficiencies.

For example Anemia which makes you feel really tired.

So now it’s about that time that I share with you 8 foods that are high in Iron and I suggested you start eating right away.

Shellfish

Shellfish is is high in Iron, with Oysters and Mussels being really good sources.

Now a lot of you that are into seafood will say well what about Clams?

I hear you but you must understand that Clams is not really reliable because it’s Iron content is not consistent sometimes high & sometimes lowerΒ  than your Daily Value (AKA DV) .

Shellfish is high in nutrients and is known to increase the level of HDL Cholesterol in your blood (That’s the good Cholesterol by the way!) .

Spinach

Spinach more than enough Iron to get you started during the day.

It’s also rich in Vitamin C and what that does is boots your Iron absorption, so a very good combo to have.

Spinach is very rich in Antioxidants some of which help reduce Cancer and decrease inflammations.

Eating spinach often and other leafy greens with good fat (AKA HDL) helps your body absorb the carotenoids, this is one of the Antioxidants example below..

You could add Olives & Olive Oil along with the Spinach, as the Olives and the Olive Oil are healthy fats.
