3 Ways To Stop Binge Eating

Binge Eating Disorder AKA (BED) is known to be the most common eating disorder in the whole of the United states and can be difficult to address.

The symptoms of a Binge eater includes.. Eating an abnormal amount of food even when the person isn’t

particularly hungry, binge eating will  damage your  health and leaves people feeling guilty and ashamed.

Good thing though there are very simple tips  you can try out and  prevent binge eating for good.

Without further ado here are 3 tips to help you stop binge eating and take control of your health again.

Not only can fad diets often be very unhealthy, but studies show that these overly restrictive eating methods may also trigger episodes of binge eating.

Say No To Diets

As I’ve said before “Diets are not what you’re looking for” (Click Here).

So taking into account that Diets are short term and not beneficial over the long term (The rest of your life) It’s important that we now focus on the long term.. why?

Let me give you an example

I was reading a study this week that said that 320 women found that fasting was associated with a higher risk of binge eating.

also, another study  111 women noticed avoiding  certain food groups  resulted in increased cravings and a higher risk of overeating.

Diets suck!

Instead of focusing on cutting entire food groups and calorie intakes in a desperate attempt to lose weight.. only then to regain it all  in under 24 months or less!

Start making an investment on eating healthy food, trust me there’s no food group that needs cutting out completely.. if it needed cutting it’s not real food.. It’s junk/Trash, in which case why would you be eating that rubbish?

The foods you should be eating are whole foods like Vegetables, Fruits and whole grains and moderate your consumption of treats to start off with and then over time get rid of them altogether. This will prevent binge eating and give you better health.

Stop Skipping Meals

You shouldn’t be skipping meals, period.

This leads to binge eating, instead start setting up regular eating schedule and stick to it.

This will be most effective when looking to stop binge eating and of course stop skipping meals.

Having a busy schedule as an excuse is not one I’m buying either, too busy to feed yourself.. really?

Do you grin also when you tell a loved one that you’ve not eaten all day?

If this sounds like you then there’s nothing funny about it and you must re evaluate yourself and make your health a top 3 priority, otherwise you’re just wasting your time and will not reach your goal of losing weight and maintaining it (Click Here)

Clean Out Your Kitchen

Don’t make things so difficult for yourself, leaving plenty of junk in your kitchen can easily have you slip up and start bingeing again.

If you’re serious about this you wouldn’t have a cupboard filled with junk, as it’s a step backwards and not forward to your weight loss goals.

Instead, keep healthy foods on hand. This will reduce the chances of you eating emotionally by having healthy options at hand.. rather than just unhealthy options (Remember I did say don’t skip a meal.. so you can’t starve).

You can start by clearing out the trash like Crisps AKA potato chips, Candy, Chocolates, biscuits etc and start swapping them for healthier options.

Filling your kitchen with Fruits, Vegetables, Whole grain foods, Protein foods or nuts and seeds can improve your health and lower your risk of binge eating on unhealthy junk.

THAT’S IT!

I really enjoyed sharing this with you guys. Please do let me know though…

Binge eating makes me feel worse inside as I only do it when I feel depressed.
So if I’m eating only fruits that would be a big step for me when I’m depressed
and feel like binge eating. You’re videos have kept me positive and I’ve not been depressed
since the Easter.
